Adams Hall Murals
The Adams Hall murals, which hang in the first floor lobby, just past the south entrance foyer, were created by a university art student by the name of Craig Sheppard. Sheppard was chosen by Dean Adams from a university art competition. The murals illustrate themes of the Oklahoma economy: farming, stock raising, transportation, retailing, banking, oil, mining, and smelting.
The Adams Hall W.P.A. murals were restored 2011 by OU Alumni Don T. and Carolyn T. Zachritz of Oklahoma, bringing the murals back to their original splendor which is so enjoyed by past and current Oklahoma University students.
